Dope-dyed polyester DTY is colored during melt spinning for consistent color throughout the filament.  Zhenyi Chemical Fiber offers confirmed black, grey, brown and other colors by specification, with SIM or HIM options where applicable.

ABOUT ZHENYI CHEMICAL FIBER

Built on manufacturing experience dating back to 2007, Zhenyi Chemical Fiber brings together the Weien and Baoyi production bases under an integrated business system. We specialize in the production and sales of polyester DTY, while international trade and customer support are provided by Shoyee International Trading Co., Ltd.

Weien Intelligent Manufacturing (Jiaxing) Co., Ltd. operates the Weien production facility, with a site area of approximately 13,300 m² (20 mu). Tongxiang Baoyi Textile Co., Ltd. operates the Baoyi production facility, with a site area of approximately 10,000 m² (15 mu).

Together, the two facilities have a total production workshop floor area of approximately 100,000 m² and are equipped with 100 draw-texturing machines, providing a combined polyester DTY production capacity of up to 400 metric tons per day. They manufacture DTY in a range of deniers, filament counts, luster types and intermingling levels for customers in China and overseas.

  • How Dope-Dyeing Differs From Conventional Piece Dyeing

    Rather than dyeing finished fabric or yarn in a dye bath, dope-dyed yarn has pigment mixed into the molten polymer before it is extruded into filament. Dope-Dyed Polyester DTY from Zhenyi Chemical Fiber carries color all the way through the cross-section of the filament, rather than only on the surface, which is the core reason this yarn resists fading from abrasion in a way surface-dyed yarn cannot fully match.

  • The Environmental and Cost Case for Skipping the Dye Bath

    Because color is fixed at melt-spinning stage, dope-dyed yarn requires no dyehouse water, no dye-fixing chemicals and no wastewater treatment for that portion of production — a meaningful factor for brands tracking water and chemical usage per garment. It also removes an entire processing step and its lead time from the supply chain, which is one reason black dope-dyed yarn in particular has become a standard, cost-stable option for mills producing large volumes of a single dark shade.

  • The Trade-Off: Color Flexibility and Minimum Order Volume

    The obvious limitation is that color must be confirmed before spinning rather than after, so custom shades typically require a higher minimum order than piece-dyed yarn, and small-batch color changes are less economical. This is why most dope-dyed programs are built around a small set of confirmed, high-volume colors — black, grey and brown in Zhenyi Chemical Fiber's current range — rather than open custom-color ordering at low quantities.

  • SIM/HIM Selection for Colored Yarn Specifically

    Because pigment particles add a small amount of stiffness to the filament compared to raw white yarn, some mills find that HIM intermingling holds construction integrity slightly better on colored yarn during high-speed knitting than it does on the equivalent raw-white specification. If your process already runs raw-white SIM successfully, it's still worth trialing HIM when switching to Dope-Dyed Polyester DTY for the first time.
