ABOUT ZHENYI CHEMICAL FIBER

Built on manufacturing experience dating back to 2007, Zhenyi Chemical Fiber brings together the Weien and Baoyi production bases under an integrated business system. We specialize in the production and sales of polyester DTY, while international trade and customer support are provided by Shoyee International Trading Co., Ltd.

Weien Intelligent Manufacturing (Jiaxing) Co., Ltd. operates the Weien production facility, with a site area of approximately 13,300 m² (20 mu). Tongxiang Baoyi Textile Co., Ltd. operates the Baoyi production facility, with a site area of approximately 10,000 m² (15 mu).

Together, the two facilities have a total production workshop floor area of approximately 100,000 m² and are equipped with 100 draw-texturing machines, providing a combined polyester DTY production capacity of up to 400 metric tons per day. They manufacture DTY in a range of deniers, filament counts, luster types and intermingling levels for customers in China and overseas.

  • Why Chenille Production Needs a Different DTY Spec Than Standard Knitting

    Chenille fabric is made by twisting DTY around core yarns and then cutting the twisted strand to create the fabric's signature pile, which puts very different mechanical stress on the yarn than knitting or weaving does. Zhenyi Chemical Fiber supplies Polyester Chenille Yarn feedstock selected specifically for this process — filament count and intermingling level are chosen to control how cleanly the pile separates after cutting, not just for strength or hand feel.

  • Luster Choice and Its Effect on Pile Appearance

    Because chenille's pile catches and scatters light differently than a flat weave or knit, luster choice has an outsized visual effect on the finished fabric compared to other constructions. Bright Chenille Polyester Yarn produces a plush, reflective pile often used for upholstery accents; semi-dull gives a softer, more textile-like surface; full-dull is chosen when a matte, velvet-like hand is the design goal. The same core-twisting equipment can usually run all three without retooling.

  • Filament Count and Pile Density

    Higher filament counts at the same denier generally produce a denser, fuller-looking pile after cutting, since more individual filaments are packed into the same cross-sectional area and separate more finely when cut. Mills targeting a plush, high-loft chenille often move to higher filament count specifications for this reason rather than simply increasing overall denier, which would add weight without necessarily improving pile fullness.

    Beyond denier and filament count, it's worth confirming the twisting machine's tension settings and pile-cutting method with your chenille processor before locking a specification, since yarn that performs well on one twisting setup does not always transfer cleanly to another.
