Dope-Dyed Polyester Monofilament

Dope-dyed polyester monofilament is colored during melt spinning and can be supplied in round-section or special-shaped versions.  Current listed specifications include 20D/1F, 25D/1F and 30D/1F by item.

ABOUT ZHENYI CHEMICAL FIBER

Built on manufacturing experience dating back to 2007, Zhenyi Chemical Fiber brings together the Weien and Baoyi production bases under an integrated business system. We specialize in the production and sales of polyester DTY, while international trade and customer support are provided by Shoyee International Trading Co., Ltd.

Weien Intelligent Manufacturing (Jiaxing) Co., Ltd. operates the Weien production facility, with a site area of approximately 13,300 m² (20 mu). Tongxiang Baoyi Textile Co., Ltd. operates the Baoyi production facility, with a site area of approximately 10,000 m² (15 mu).

Together, the two facilities have a total production workshop floor area of approximately 100,000 m² and are equipped with 100 draw-texturing machines, providing a combined polyester DTY production capacity of up to 400 metric tons per day. They manufacture DTY in a range of deniers, filament counts, luster types and intermingling levels for customers in China and overseas.

  • Why Color Fastness Matters More for Monofilament Than for DTY

Monofilament is frequently used in outdoor mesh, screens and technical applications with prolonged sun and weather exposure, which makes color stability a bigger practical concern than it usually is for indoor apparel fabric. Dope-Dyed Polyester Monofilament carries pigment through the full cross-section of the filament rather than as a surface treatment, giving it meaningfully better resistance to fading from UV exposure and abrasion than surface-dyed alternatives — a relevant factor when the finished mesh will sit outdoors for years.

  • Round-Section and Special-Shaped Options in Dope-Dyed Form

Both cross-section profiles remain available once pigment is added at the melt-spinning stage, since coloring the polymer chip doesn't interfere with the die shaping that follows. Round-section dope-dyed monofilament suits general colored mesh and reinforcement use, while special-shaped variants are chosen where the same directional-stiffness or light-behavior considerations that apply to bright and semi-dull monofilament are also wanted in a fixed color.

  • Current Denier Availability and Ordering Timing

Listed specifications currently span 20D/1F, 25D/1F and 30D/1F by item, and because color is fixed before the drawing stage rather than added afterward, custom colors generally require longer lead time and higher minimum quantity than round-section bright or semi-dull equivalents. Confirming color and denier together, early in the sourcing conversation, avoids delays later in scheduling a production slot.

  • A Practical Note on Color Matching Across Batches

Because pigment dispersion during extrusion can vary very slightly batch to batch, it's good practice to request cones from the same production lot for a single project, especially for large mesh panels where side-by-side shade consistency is visible. Zhenyi Chemical Fiber keeps batch sample retention on file specifically so a color match can be verified against a prior order of Dope-Dyed Polyester Monofilament if a repeat order is placed later.
